Score Counter

About Score Counter

Score Counter is a free scoreboard for anything you count. Open it in a browser, name the players, and start keeping score — no account, no download, no advertising.

What it does

It replaces the scrap of paper at the side of the table. You add the people playing, enter each round’s points, and the running totals, rankings and winner are worked out for you.

Any number of players

From one person tracking a solo game to a full table. Add and name as many as you need.

Round-by-round scoring

Enter points per round and see totals update live. Leave a field blank and it counts as zero.

Highest or lowest wins

Play to a target, or make reaching it knock you out. Negative scores can be allowed for penalties.

Fix mistakes

Edit any past round or undo the last one. Totals and the winner recalculate from the rounds.

Play history

Every finished game is kept, so you can look back at who won what, and when.

Players and stats

People you name are remembered, building up win rates, streaks, averages and your most-played games.

Saved setups

Store the rules for a game you play often and reuse them in one tap next time.

Works offline

After the first visit it keeps working with no signal, and can be installed to your home screen.

Who it’s for

Anyone who needs a scoreboard and doesn’t want to install an app to get one. In practice that tends to be:

How it works

Name the game, set the target score, add the players, and start. After each round you type what everyone scored and submit. The scoreboard re-sorts so the leader is on top, and when somebody reaches the target the game finishes and is saved to your history.

Nothing is set up in advance and nothing needs configuring. The second and third games get better on their own, because the history, the saved players and the statistics build up as you play.

What it deliberately doesn’t do

Worth knowing before you rely on it:

Your data stays yours

Your games, players and history are stored in your own browser, not on a server. Analytics is optional and stays switched off unless you agree to it, and it never includes player names, game names or scores. You can change that choice at any time with Privacy choices in the footer of the app.

The full detail is in the Privacy Policy, including exactly what is collected, by whom, and how to have it removed.

Free, with no catch

There is nothing to buy, no premium tier and no advertising. Score Counter exists because keeping score at a table shouldn’t require an account, a download, or handing over a list of everyone you play with.

Say hello

Bug reports and blunt feedback are welcome — the app has changed shape more than once because someone took the trouble to write in.
